Who we are
Dareable is an independent insurance content publisher operated by Daystage Inc. We publish guides to help small business owners understand commercial insurance coverage. Our website is dareable.com.
What information we collect
We collect two types of information:
Information you give us directly
If you contact us by email or use a contact form, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We do not currently operate a newsletter, account registration, or any other form that collects personal information beyond what you choose to send us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit dareable.com, we automatically collect standard web analytics data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, and time spent on each page. This is collected via Google Analytics 4, which uses cookies. We use this data to understand how the site is used and to improve content.
Cookies
Dareable uses cookies primarily through Google Analytics. These are analytics cookies that help us understand traffic patterns and page performance. We do not use advertising cookies or build behavioral profiles for ad targeting. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, which will limit our analytics but will not affect your ability to read any content on the site.
Affiliate links and third-party partners
Dareable earns compensation when readers click on links to insurance carriers and brokers (such as Embroker, Next Insurance, Thimble, and Tivly) and complete a quote request or purchase. When you click one of these links, you leave dareable.com and interact with a third-party site. That site's privacy policy governs how your information is handled once you arrive there. We do not receive personal information about you from these partners beyond aggregate click data.
How we use your information
- To understand how content is used and which guides are most helpful
- To improve article quality, structure, and navigation
- To respond to questions or feedback you send us directly
- To diagnose technical problems with the site
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or retarget you with ads.
California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you rights regarding your personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion of your personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
Dareable does not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. The analytics data we collect via Google Analytics is used solely for site improvement and is not sold to third parties. To exercise any of your CCPA rights, contact us at the email address below.
Data retention
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is aggregated and the individual session data is deleted. Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward.
Children
Dareable is a business insurance content site intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy as the site changes. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the most recent changes were made. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without prominent notice.
